had my last celebration night last night.. all the way from 8pm to 1130pm... the 1st and last since i was a student at IGGS, my 2nd since i was born.... hhaa... its weird.. to say i was in IGGS, but tts the truth, and i dun ever wanna go back...
ppl getting prizes, ppl singing, ppl playing instruments, ppl modelling our new uniforms.. al these ppl had a role to play, but i was there.. on stage, for the 1st and last time, singing our school hymn... leading the guests and fellow junior students out.. haha
tears, joy, laughter, excited at the thought tt though results come out next mon, we'll move on into another year of life, another big step in the books of history...
coming over for high school was a big step, yet moving on, into uni is a no smaller step...
skimmed ray's blog and this verse came to me... trust the Lord with all your heart, and leannot, on your own understanding.. i've walked the past few days.... trying to hide away from reality, but yet it haunts me... i looked around the church office on mon, and i realised how much effort, work and time these ppl were putting in, all for the work of God... its like... no politics, juz a casual, work hard, do your best kinda atmosphere....
preparing for upcoming events, planning for programmes next year... and i realised that without determination, all the events plannied would vanish into thin air...
i could juz hear God, there and then reminding me something... something someone once mentioned to me... if ppl were to carry their inconfidence ard, they wldnt achieve anything, but fal into depression themselves... wat i realised was that as we aim to look at the pl ard us, and focus on them, we see less of ourlseves, and become less critical...
isnt tt wat life is abt? to be happy, to be cheerful, to be passionate and loving, to sympathise and feel for others? if focus lands on ourselves, wat an unhappy life we haf, pleasing ourselves and looking for juz how we think of us...
